F.A.Q

How is Floorball Basics Academy different from other Academies?
FBA is striving to create a Learn-to-Play Floorball Academy, where we welcome all to come learn this sport of Floorball.
We corporate elements of Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) into our lesson plans on top of learning Floorball, so that your child gets a more holistic education. We hire certified coaches that are experienced in Floorball or FMS coaching.
Where and when are your lessons held?
Our lessons are held at St. Patrick’s School (490E East Coast Road, Singapore 429058 - ISH Sports Hall)
What’s the attire expected for my child?
Do come in sporting attire (ie academy top, shorts, and above ankle height socks and indoor court shoes), bring Water bottle and towel (optional)
Are the classes suitable for both genders?
Yes, they are. We encourage both genders to come together to learn this sport of Floorball. For age category U-12, we conduct both beginners and intermediate classes to cater your child’s current level of playing ability.
For the initial assessment, U12 (Beginners) will mainly refer to children who do not train in Floorball CCA in their schools or have little to no exposure in the sport. For U12 (Intermediate), it will mainly refer to children who trains in Floorball CCA in their schools or have already gained a good decent experience in Floorball
However, if upon subsequent assessment or sessions, should the coach(es) and/or parent feels that a switch is necessary, arrangements can be made. This is to ensure your child is at training and playing at a level that is of his/her current ability, which will aid in their development, self-confidence and the enjoyment of the sport.
